Nominee: Emerging Designer Of The Year 2019

Born in August 1975, Jamilla’s love affair with fashion started at the tender age of 7, when she came across her auntie’s fashion sketches. At the age of 14 while she was still in high school, she started modeling and designing locally in Maputo for the agency she was signed with, Estudio Stilo. In 2002, she returned to Dar es salaam and established Jamilla Vera Swai Studio. Since then she has participated in various festival shows through the years.
