The MOBO Awards (Music of Black Origin) is an annual music award presentation that honors achievements in “music of black origin”, including hip hop, grime, R&B, soul, reggae, jazz, gospel, and African music. The MOBO Organization was founded by Kanya King.

This year’s ceremony was held at Coventry’s CBS Arena on Sunday, December 5th, 2021, It was hosted by multi-platinum-selling artist and actress Leigh-Anne Pinnock and comedian and broadcaster Munya Chawawa, with special guest host Eddie Kadi, who presents BBC Radio 1Xtra’s Official UK Afrobeat’s Chart Show.

The juice of the news is that our very own Popstar, Big Wiz conquered the 2021 MOBO Awards by the emerging winner in  Best International Act and  Best African Act.

He’s the only African artist to have won the Mobo International Artist of the year twice and African Act four times and an overall record of six times. Greatest of all times.
