Cute-Saint is a contemporary fashion brand based in Lagos, Nigeria. It is the brainchild of a Fashion Editor and Celebrity Fashion Stylist, Muftau Femi Ajose. The brand takes pride in creating authentic edgy designs crafted with locally produced organic fabrics; especially Funtua (locally spun cotton from Katsina, Nigeria) and Batiks.
Earlier this year, CUTE-SAINT was the only Nigerian brand at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, Russia. Check out our conversation with the CEO. This time they made another debut at Lagos Fashion Week debut with a mini collection titled ‘Our Mother’s Pride’.

The collection examines the life of marginalized people in Africa and beyond, with a focus on the LGBTQIA+ community; their existence, history, lifestyle, struggles and emergence.
Nothing can be more ironic than the saying that “Being who you are is Unafrican”. Several kinds of research have shown the existence of queerness on the continent as far back as the pre-colonial era.
The collection seeks to celebrate the lives of every human being the society has forced to live in the closet, who has broken the norm by coming out, who have continued to fight for the freedom and protection of all lives; victimized by society but fail to be weakened.
