Emerging Fashion Brands to Know: LoveLabelByIfe

LoveLabelbyIfe is a fashion brand that caters to the everyday stylish woman. She makes the simplest of things elegant/chic, to suit the beautiful body types of women. Her client base ranges from the cute and adorable 4years old to the beautiful 80years old. She is passionate about her clients and would go beyond and above to satisfy and deliver. One thing the brand is known for is its word, It never disappoints.
“We are committed to putting smiles on the faces of our clients, no matter how rough things might have been..that is what keeps us going.” said the CEO, Ifeoluwa Olumekun. “We are NOT just a brand, we are a FAMILY! You always come first and we always have your back!”

We had a chat with her about her brand and here is what she has to say:

Tell us about yourself

My name is Ifeoluwa Olumekun. I am a wife and mother of two beautiful daughters. Although I read political science and administration in college, I have always had a love for arts, drawing, music, and dance. They are some of my favorite things to do…even with my children. I always came to their rescue whenever it came to Art projects!

I started off as an event consult and later moved fully into the fashion world(thanks to my overwhelming passion for fashion and style)

Tell us about your Brand

LoveLabelbyIfe started precisely 6years ago when I could no longer ignore my calling into the world of fashion.
With 12yrs prior study at the Nobel Institute of Fashion, it was an easy and natural transition. And the name was coined out from my name which means LOVE in Yoruba.

What is your background in fashion?

In 2008, I attended the Nobel Institute Of Fashion to have a deeper understanding of creativity in the fashion world (never even considered fashion as a business at this point). Over time, the more interested I became in fashion, the more I read books in fashion design and management.

What is your highest achievement in your career so far?

So far, we have been able to capture the attention of a few stylists/bloggers in the industry. We have also taken part in some fashion shows in Nigeria with Fashionfinestafrica being the icing on the cake but due to the coronavirus, a lot of our major plans have had to take a backseat, but so many big things in the works. So far, we have carved a niche for ourselves, LoveLabelbyIfe has been planted in the fashion industry and the germination process has begun.

What is your goals and aspiration for the next 5 years?

In the next couple of years, we intend to take the brand to the next level making it the next best thing by dressing not just celebrities (in/out of the country) but also the woman confident enough in their skin. We are working on expanding into the international market and also setting up a model management arm that will give opportunities for girls of all sizes to showcase their talents.

Who is/are your role models in this business?

I draw motivation and inspiration from not just fashion brands but brands that have persevered through storms to do amazing things. It gives the boost needed to keep the work going and believing that dreams come true.

What advice would you give someone who is just starting out in this business?

My advice for any startup is never to give up! I know it’s easier said than done especially when you are in a country where everything negative is stacked against the success of small scale business, it can be so overwhelming at times but don’t give up, take it a day at a time, be purposeful in your approach, ask for help if need be and ALWAYS take time to breathe(take care of yourself). Your success will happen in its own appointed time.

Have you heard of FFA before now?

I actually heard of Fashionfinestafrica through a close friend of mine. She called me up about a week to the FFA2019 exhibition, although I was a bit hesitant because I thought the timing was late. God made it possible and we walked the runway.💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻 It was an amazing experience which was so gratifying
