Cardi B is up on billboards again and this time it is not for her music topping the charts, nope! She’s the new face of Balenciaga’s latest advertising campaign for the Winter 2020 season.
Cardi B took to her twitter account to announce the great news. She was shot and styled by her team in her Los Angeles home.
The imagery features the talented rapper on an Astro- turf surface, surrounded by kids toys, slide and Balenciaga’s Neo Classic bag in white. She was wearing a black catsuit-dress hybrid from creative director Demna Gvasalia’s fall 2020 collection.
She also went on Instagram to share a picture of the giant billboard featuring the new ad campaign. This is the great part; the billboard is being displayed on the side of Louvre Museum in Paris, talk about matching history!
She shared that she remembered how it felt to see herself on the billboards in Times Square, New York for the first time but, according to her “PARIS! Wish I was there to see it in person”.
Although, this is Cardi B’s first campaign for a luxury fashion house, she is not a stranger to the Paris fashion scene. In recent years, she has been seen on the front row of many fashion shows including Chanel, Tom Ford, and Thom Browne. She has also cultivated a personal style that is unique to her while inspiring to all to be bold and unapologetic! I’m a sucker for her nails.
So, whether it’s making hit music tracks or setting her own footprints in European fashion, Cardi B sure deserves it and make no mistake, she knows how to make a statement every time.
