The Future Awards Africa

The 16th edition of The Future Awards Africa Themed “Celebrating Challengers and Builders” is celebrating innovators that have chosen to defy the status quo and redefine the norm in their various fields within the past year. It was held in Lagos on Sunday, 20th Feb night  and recognized young Nigerians who are acing their careers in different fields. The event, which was organized to honor youths aged 18 and 31, was hosted by Nollywood actress and show host, Nancy Isime.

Making the list of this year’s award nominees are fabrication engineer and designer of Nigeria’s first carbon fibre car, Jerry Mallo; Founder Chess in Slums Africa, Tunde Onakoya; Social media influencer and popular #EndSARS campaigner, Rinu Oduala, Kannywood actress Maryam Yahaya, Plateau-born fashion model, Davou Pwajok; sustainability expert and CEO PrunedgeJoel Ogunsola; Nigerian-Canadian fashion designer, Andrea Inyama; and Nigerian Afro-Fusion singer, songwriter and record producer Daniel ‘Buju’ Benson.

The Winners for this year’s award include Temilade ‘Terms’ Openiyi, Bimbo Ademoye, Tunde Onakoya of Chess2slums, and a host of others.
