Fashion season is in full swing as the London Fashion Week just ended yesterday. Before the pandemic struck, the last couple of days would have been characterized by the constantly bustling of Strand Street with Fashion enthusiasts from all over the world. Alas! The pandemic has changed all that. Oh well, at least it came with some perks as there were no sold tickets or front row seats and everyone could watch from the comfort of their homes.

The fashion week boasted of 95 brands that showcased and for the first time ever, menswear and womenswear were combined in the same show. New brands like Ahluwalia, Bethany Williams and Nicholas Daley also showed their stellar collections.

The Chief executive of the British Fashion Council, Carolina Rush said in a statement that the digital platform was a first for everyone which meant there has been a lot to learn and develop even before now.

“Whilst I do believe that digital will never replace the magic of in-person shows, for us it was really exciting to have the opportunity to create this platform that welcomes a much wider audience.” She said.

The designers adapted swiftly by creating incredibly creative content that showed fashion can be so much more than the traditional shows.

Here are some designs from the show:
